Undressed

Altars of stone by Gilgamesh
Chiseled by bone and helped by flesh
Symbols of a past in climb
Diminished by the rasp of time.

Slowly turning into dust
Just as turns our human lust
Changing into different form
Each in truth a newer norm

Through the neck the sands do fly
The multitude in sounds of sigh
Tumbling into evermore
Each different than it was before

In the scurry of the flair
Lies the worry of the fare
Kicking, screaming, to be born
In the coming of the dawn

Make way, make way for change to blend
It weaves the pattern end to end

wondering where we'd be without change
quit boring I would think?

you have a unique way of naming time

Wonderful read, as always
Thanks a bunch

How many times...how many ways can I find to say...

YOU ARE SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!

That first verse alone is so full of metaphorically awesome intend that Im giddy...what you do with symbols is just too cool for school.

see what I mean .......

Rock and rhyme on our poetic prophet...you da poet man.

nee...

Monuments of ghostly past
hammered of stone and shadow's cast
cymbals clang throughout in rhyme
sharpened by the seeker's chime...

JM,
You are the moth that makes me sigh
By placing mirrors to my eye.
And what I see makes the tea
And makes me sigh the look of me.

"Changing into different form

Very true...and norm becomes old...and change bears on stasis and triggers new change...and around and around and around we go...

Thanks!
