write something pretty for me...
just to make a smile....

Oh Donna --

I sing to you a sweet tune
of summertime at noon
with sounds of children's play
and sunshine fills the day
the blanket is spread upon the ground
won't you join me? Please sit down.
I've melon, sandwiches and lemonaid
And we can talk together and watch the parade
of squirrels and butterflies and such
And let our hearts be touched
by the gift of friendship dear
Know that my heart, to you, is near.

Hugs to you, and may your day blossom into joy-

Love you -- Susan

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

sweetly as the ink will flow
writing rainbows where it goes
making puddles all the while
to show reflections of our smiles

within the grey
are all the hidden colors
that wait for you to find them again

Let's weave a song of in and out
a truth of ribbons in braid
for when times seem gray of light,
we must know to not be afraid...

so take a ribbon, some of green, or gold,
or red or blue or yellow...
entwine your fears, yes, be bold!
and we'll be hail, all ladies and fellows!

Dearest Donna

Hazelnut becomes a giant leap
Into the storybook of parenting
By touching an emotional string
Changing any given situation,
Into the way you see things
Pulling close, those things abandoned
Writing down your frustrations
The moments that grab your pen
Words wearing armor so ultimately blessed
Embracing the moon in your eyes
Eating and sleeping your lifeline
Mopping up each sin, forgiving self
Gliding skyward on ferocious winds
Of strength, joy and faith’s hymn
Breezing the soft quiet of wings
Coming to flaws embracing them
As you would a best friend
Without playing Russian roulette
Freelancing what works best
Your very own self examination
Is a way to find answers for the blow outs
Giving the soul, “somethin to write home about”

your smiling again...

Gentle Spirit,
Your pretty face requires roses and lace.

my words alone
can not express
my gratitude
for the smiles you have
sent my way..

from the bottom of this heart of blue...
I send my words of thanks to you....

I am wishing you a sunny day
one, not with clouds of gray,
but with pastel rainbows softened by
Cotten candy clouds and blue skys!

Hugs, jo

Pushing the gray aside
sunlight streams to the earth
Kissing flowers awake
brings joy to dreary day

The greyness will pass as the sunlight of your heart is reflected to each of us here...

"Today seems so gray...
write something pretty for me...
just to make a smile...."
Reading the words I began
the search of my own to paint
on a purple hued sunset beset with orange
as the sun began its journey to night
and I began a reverie
of slow light play on waves
that seem in rippled sheet to lay
across the surface of colder water
that if immersed in would add
to the gray of your chill
           as it peaked points

beauty she asked
and I saw around me the words
though I knew
even if she viewed them through my eyes
it would not replace the mood

Low those days of grey
that sink into valleys of fog
before sunset or rise brings
              change

Tides they say
                are predictable
yet our own ebbs
                 deem themselves
not so

I am at a loss this morning for words
that can do your replies justice..
just know how much you all
have touched me, and are valued...

Capt Ron,  this....

------------
beauty she asked
and I saw around me the words
though I knew
even if she viewed them through my eyes
it would not replace the mood
-------------

is so very true, and although no one
can replace a mood for anyone
I dare say that what you allow us
to see, through your eyes,
is beauty in itself,
and worth more than
one can ever express...
thank you for that....

It's better than I could have planned..
it's made me who I am...
