Birthright

you took so much
and wanted more
slipping bone from muscle
leaving me so lacking
without a leg to stand on
but watch there is
a glimmer in the corner
of your eye too fast
for you to catch and it
is this woman in bounce
fluttering again from a fall

for love is my birthright
and I will not be denied

What force could possibly stand in your way?  There is power in positivity.  (Is that a word???)
Enjoyed the read Helen.
