Dare we reach for the stars on high
Or soar with eagles in the sky
To wonder at the quake of aspen leaves
Not being a doubter, but one who believes

There is so much that we can do
So many avenues to pursue
Chains, which bind, can be cobweb strong
To break with ease when we dare along

Does the sun not shine where you do dwell
Or the breeze bring up the ocean’s smell
Is the moonbeam only a slice of light
Hiding from you, dancing fairies delight

Hark to the sound of the tolling bell
Calling you with it’s haunting knell
For siren’s song it need not be
Dare to live, and set soul free

Dare to live, such words should soar
And beg the soul to search for more
For life is short and time is fleet
Each step should make a memory sweet

Mind each moment, minute, and hour
For lemons can grow sweet from sour
Sugar thy tone, but not too much
And lend to friends the lightest touch

Dare to live and in such, lift others
For we are all kin, we sisters and brothers.

~*~

You always leave us adding sticks
to the fire, Logan.  Welcome home.

Logan, the theme of this is fantastic - Dare to live, and set soul free. I enjoyed the inspiring read.

"Does the sun not shine where you do dwell"
I'm not very good at this, but I thought that this line might have sounded better without the 'do' at the end...
