Rippling undulating waves on the land
cast sculpted near-parallel bands of silvery sand,
caressed by receding waters wake
and the traces our individual footsteps make.

"Tears aren’t always about weakness"

Sunrise and sunset scribes a given day
into forevermore calendars that mark our way,
as heartbeats celebrate the seconds
allocated to each, our time to share.

"Tears aren’t always about weakness"

Cloudbursts and storms sometimes obscure
beneficial ionic exchanges not readily visible,
but nevertheless there,
sweetening the breath of our earthly air.

"Tears aren’t always about weakness"

When the steps upon the sand lead us away
from the private pathway we each tread upon,
may they lead in the direction of freedom,
may they guide the tears of each soul to the One.

"Tears aren’t always about weakness"

A very fine write...though...I believe tears are always about weakness...but...a weakness all mankind has....when we know our weakness, we know how to find strength or release from it's effect...Like fear..everyone has fear, it's when we are afraid of our fears is when we have problems...knowing how to deal with your inner fears and weaknesses is where you find strength...

"Tears aren't always about weakness" ~ I agree. There are tears of compassion, tears of joy... ~ God gave us tears for a reason. If tears were only about weakness, then I'd be considered a very weak person ~ and I am not.

Your poem and Michael's words, touched me deeply. In fact, I have tears in my eyes....

I wrap my arms around Michael with compassion and love.

Angel blessings to Michael, Mary, Christopher and you, Dear Kacy.

I cry when people give me happy news about their lives, accomplishments, or even read me poems...so there are indeed tears of joy, so passonate, there are tears of strengh, of frustration, of physical pain, and tears of dispair...all emotions can tear...and this is a most cherished gift which brings tears and warmth at the same time, to the heart.

Lovely write
