Wherefrom Miracles?

Oft she seek miracles, remedies for her plight.
Oft she pray for miracles,'twas her Christian rite.
She’d plead her God for manifest, a sign that he exist.
Then wait she for reply, eyes blind in teary mist.

Inpatience pressed upon her by her selfish thought,
Believing by mere words, miracles could be bought.
Ever I’d hear her wail, “My God has turned his face.
Though I’ve cry out to my Lord, he has shown no grace.”

Once then wherefrom the darkness, she heard God’s own plea,
“If you desire miracles, be one unto thee.”
Revelation lay now bare, blind eyes could now see,
For as one of God’s own, the miracle was she.
