Imaginary Butterflies

Imaginary Butterflies
Fly the subtle of my sighs
Color me a phantom way
That changes night back into day

They fill my eyes with hues of gold
Enfolding on the flowers bold
Making rainbow scenery
Adding to the greenery

They pick me up and set me down
Set upon my head a crown
Build within my mind a hue
That paints my soul a different view

I walk the floor of fantasy
To find the door of ecstasy
Within this field I bivouac
To smoke this aphrodisiac

In this blend desires vend
I sire ends that ever bend.

There's nothing quite i-mag-i-na-ry
as butterflies or fields of fair
that I wouldn't find a poet lingering
taking in the morning air...

Finally I have found a little time to come in here and read some poems, and the first one I find is this beautiful poem of butterflies...
Thank you, Seymour for opening up my morning in this way...
And thank you Sunshine for the beautiful butterfly/coneflower picture

Lovely poetry...

"They fill my eyes with hues of gold
Enfolding on the flowers bold
Making rainbow scenery
Adding to the greenery"

Good morning, Sir Flit 'n Fly!

Methinks, m'dear, that ye be a butterfly thyself ~ tho' ye be not imaginary, ye be every flower's fantasy!

Sy,  each day you gift us with yet another
new poem...each always carries a message,
one known well within your heart.  Often
can be related to,  for your wisdom bathes
well upon us.

A butterfly causes us to sigh,
With words refreshing to the eye.
A poem that whispers, "My, oh my!"
Written by our sonneteer, Sy.

          Maaauuuuhhhh!

ummm?
"smoke this aphrodisiac?"
Sy, you better get that Isabel into that garden too.  She will be seeing butterflies in no time I bet if she hangs out with you?
