where the wild flowers grow

Irrational wisdom,
clawed into my veins,
mis-matched with my plasma.
It did not belong here,
anymore than I..but
so long as I were human,
I could hide my insignificance.

Most things are taken for granted,
like the roof over my head and
the food in my stomach,
but more than anything else
I felt like the hand in my pocket had
picked a hole through my heart
and left me with nothing.

I don't think you recall
those pleasant conversations we had
long in to the night,
or the times I did feel sympathy for you..
Or you've chosen to forget the
things I've sacrificed to bring you happiness..

Afterall, I have made sure to disagree,
and to let you know where exactly I stand.

Now, this is where we are,
and have decided to be.
That will never change, so..
if your heart is not ready for a
broken silence in an
enraged blessing I will
watch you walk away, in contempt..

But I will also forgive you for being
mislead by the mass of
overwhelming love and
what you know you can no longer control..

It now has control over you..

If you love me as you say you do..

Ah, Meghan, it sounds as if your journey is on a rough uphill climb. Stay the course as steady as you can, you have the strength to do this.

Oh boy, you really hit a nerve.
Some things we cannot change no matter how hard we try.
And in so doing,  we must accept the futile outcome and make our peace.
In retrospect,  therein often lies a blessing in disguise.

Love your style Kaoru~
My best to you and your little one to be.

Hi Meg...how are you doing?
Sending Good Morning wishes and many thanks for a delightful read...if you are writing such Master pieces now, I hope and pray to be around years from now, to learn from your wisdom then...adding only one thing...I hope like anything, you have said this openly with words to this person, b/c of one reason...writing them down in a journal is a good thing..but never, never do we know what another person is thinking until we share with them, our thoughts and honest ta goodness feelings...in that, we not only free ourselves, but also allow them choice, instead of "thinking/assuming" we are doing right by them.  Then, if after the conversation is over, one can walk away, knowing they have done all that they could.  Many of us today, make the mistake of keeping things inside and not sharing feelings, and that can be so detramental to our well beings, for us, and the others involved.
Love you, good luck and God bless both of you cause by reading this, I know you really love him.

The first strophe is such a powerfully fertile metaphor -- the imagery is dangerous and edgy.  You're a really gifted writer.

To the extent that you're telling your story I think the middle bridges the reader over to a generative ending but I found myself wanting the whole thing to be as loamy as the beginning -- that's not always easy to do -- even when you're not great you're great -- but you spoil the reader into wanting the really, really, great...
