There’s something odd I’ve realized
About this earth, about this life.
I’ve trimmed the blossomed bush of rose
And many more have come to grow.
But when I do not harvest buds,
My rose bush dies for lack of love.

It seems unusual that when I take
The lovelies that the rosebush makes
That it should grow more to replace.
It humbles me, its giving grace.
I think this is the strangest thing.
The more I take, the more it brings.

So what’s this lesson I have learned?
Vase the buds of lessons shown.
Don’t leave them hanging on a vine.
Take those treasures deep inside.
For if you don’t, you’ll never know
How many blossoms, love can show.

So poetically profound.

Tend to yourself with love and you shall forever blossom and grow as do the roses, Dear lily...

Yes, it is poetically profound, Jo.  I never understood that concept either.  It's pretty phenomenal!  I'm half asleep, awakened by arrival home of late fair goers.
I hope there aren't too many boo-boos in thies response.  I've already fixed a half dozen!  Kids!   Enjoyes your poem.

The rose is a flower of love. And it seems to know that in order to be loved it must give.  Wonderful write.

Getting my poetry fix before another very busy, very long, yet extremely fun day -- big martial arts seminar this weekend --
Hi-yah!  This is so lovely jo, and so wise.  I'm glad I found it to read within my brief amount of time allowed to browse this morning.  Hugs you--

The magic of exponential growth...
So very well written here.
Think as a gardener, a farmer...
and the returns are multiple

We reap what the bush sows...how appropriate.  So ironic,  yet so very true
of the rose...and of life as well.

it humbles me too; let it always humble us,when it doesn't we would just sleep thru life like many, sad to say...

I think you have learned much from the garden, as have I from your wise words.

(smiles) Awwwwwww, this made my heart smile soooooo much, as I truly believe this is the reason why God made little girls and romantics. They both love picking flowers for their moms and lovers, and to share the love and wealth will only give you more love in return, yay! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jo, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Touchingly beautiful, dear Jo. There is such grace in the act of giving and the rose is a wondrous example!
Love and hugs. Margherita
