I looked you straight in the eye,  you said you would.

The hours passed and I stood there watching each car.

I sat on the curb.

I walked up and down the sidewalk.

I picked small little white flowers and placed them in my hair.

I looked you straight in the eye, and you said you would.

The people were all seated and the words were spoken.

Friends, family and strangers all looked yet there was the blankness of no one there.

The music began to play.

The smell of gardenia filled the air.

The walk was short and the pain was deep.

I looked you straight in the eye, and you said you would.

The days are full of smiles and laughter.

The memories are still there, but alittle more distant.

She grabs my hand and looked me straight in the eye and I said I would.

yep...I have waited as well...goodness it hurts to...

*sigh*

You did good, I felt it.

Some memories need to fade so that we can get past difficult times in our lives.

You really did a fine job of relaying those feelings of disappointment. Waiting is all the worse when what you have been waiting for something that never comes...

there are and always will be disappointments in life...but they're not so bad when we realize that sometimes, we've just got to allow, even when it hurts so badly.  People need they're own space...time, mistakes...doesn't make it easy, but just somehow in the knowing...in the end, everything will be all right.

sending many hugs along, and yeah, I think you did good...very good....

tis sad, this, promises broken.

Susan

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
