Legends, Seasoned, Swirling – Part 2

Somewhere, it was me, there,
In your neck of the woods
Where green became darker,
The woods thicker,
Corn taller, land crept higher,
When the water was calling
And the skies…

Were painted with faces.

I thought of canoes, and rivers,
Wanting to stop for a moment,
Any moment,
And say

I’m here…

Can you hear me?

But you were too busy with frames,
Main and otherwise,
Too tired of re-organizing amassed confusion,

Somewhere time lost your number
And all I saw,
Were your trees, and rivers,
Lakes

And skies painted with faces.

I saw your part of the world
That makes you write, as you do,
As black clouds traveled on thunderously,
Destined, as always, easterly…

While the sun raised high
Casting shadow faces
Southerly.

I saw your grand,
And my silhouettes lost
All selves,
As the corn rustled, come in.

Karilea......I'm supposed to be working but could not resist peaking through the corn field......This touched me so deeply and from what I am learning of you as a person and a poetess, I can see the depth from which it came from your enormously beautiful heart.  I am in awe!  luv ya, jo

funny... how the land around us plays into our words and the way we express ourselves...

I came from someplace south of where i am now.. and am absolutely still wrapped in the imagery and the feel of those deep narrow valleys and cold streams... surrounded by stone and tree...

nicely done... and too bad the numbers get lost along the way...
