Beneath a missing midnight moon
and the silent shout of summer's stars,
there is a zone of unknown twilight
that greets your gaze if you try to mark
the dance of your days
'round a midnitesun’s moving maze,
a difficult course to follow
‘lest you are fleet of foot...
for she vanishes into thinnest layers of time
as you watch her attempt to rise and shine,
and even as you decipher your dream
she’ll take root suddenly, like an evergreen.

Red sky in morning, mateys take warning:
the midnitesun doesn't stay the full year.
For the same gods that rule the sun, moon and stars
keep her gypsy heart galloping ‘cross lands afar,
to fantastic places that may not truly exist,
and centered places of heart, soul and mind
softly subdued by passionate poetic mist,
surrounded by kindred souls that seek to find
Nirvana, Valhalla, a Haven of some kind.

The midnitesun is on the move,
but she did not disappear...
rest assured she shall reappear
before the end of this very year,
with her perennial attitude,
just in a different latitude.

You most certainly do have a way with words, Kacy!

Enjoyed, especially the red sky bit, one of my mother's favorite sayings.

Chris darling heart, this is so YOU, each word reverberates with your essence, such a beautifully written and presented piece from you darling one. Beautifully done darling heart, absolutely wonderfully expressed, the rhythm and the flow of this are exquisite. A poetically painted picture that strokes my minds eye on this beautiful day
I love it utterly, utterly, utterly

LOL, hey Karilea, I am staying here for a while, just wanted to edit and repost this one from April of this year. This gypsy really loves Oregon!

Thanks, friends!
