A Common Breath

he and I
are a leather bound book
leaves of gold on ivory
a complimentary page
side by side inspiration
a soul naked like mine
the answer to my skin
sweet echo of whisper
in letters from
a common breath
the heart of the story

"i wish your room had room for two" John Mayer
