state of confusion

You dress me up in bows,
brush my hair with pine
combs. For morning milk,
my cup weeps wine -- sour
as your breath,

tipped by sandpaper hands
with a craving for soft skin.

I cannot guess your age or sex:
you never speak.
You might be a burgeoning woman
or an old lech who can’t remember
the last time someone wanted him.

You keep this blindfold tight
and loosen my chains only
while I feign sleep.

I’ve felt the afternoon sun
stream from a nearby window.
I’ll know warmth again.

Interesting.  It rather gives me shivers of the nerves, oy . . .

delicate, though nightmares
can sometimes become
daymares...

or at least, this was my take.

But never fear...the sun is always
close by, ready with her warmth.

Such a soft side you pen here--I got the impression of trying to recapture a dream upon waking.

I like this look on you Corinne.

Thank you All. Elan, I was very surprised to see this one pop up again, thanks!

It's actually written to an online stalker, who has since, thankfully, departed to other pastures.
