A Cotton Day

I saw him
clothes pinned to the line
all breeze soft and white
fluttering in my heart
slowly I walked over
thinking he just might
suddenly butterfly away
but there he stayed as I
cautiously reached out
freed the tether to wrap
myself in his warmth

"i wish your room had room for two" John Mayer
