The radio keeps playing songs
that remind me of you.
I still miss you.
but it doesn’t change a thing.

Life goes on
sometimes giving us more
than we can handle,
or some of the same.

Just a different day.

I sometimes wonder
if I will ever escape.
Will life be what I need?
Or do I just ask too much?

Now I am playing a familiar game.
It’s hurts to find myself
In similar circumstance.
A curse?

Or just my own stupidity?

I talked to you today.
We laughed about the time
I flashed you in the parking lot.

I hung up the phone
severing the fake connection.
It still hurts me,
but it doesn’t change a thing.

"cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind"
~Sarah McLachlan~

Memory certainly can be a curse, especially when the other person does not remember the scenes that burned so deeply into memory that they continue to echo and have meaning...but not for the person who forgets.

Reminds me of SOS DD...Same old Stuff,
Different Day.....

But this goes much deeper than that.

Well said Susan,  and you might want to
change "live" to "life"...up toward the
top of yon mountain.....

Stupidity?  I know that well.  We women who are led by our hearts . . . Sorry for the pain, I know it is not easy.
