Hold back the waters;
Strong walls melt
In sunshine of trust.

Call for reinforcements
Blocks of ice
before waters gush.

Absolutely -- the exact words, exact images I would have chosen if I'd have managed to think of writing on this idea....good stuff.

Thanks, Ratleader,
It's good to hear from you again!  Thanks for the flattery(to be something you'd think of and write about is an awesome thought!)  I love your writing!

Ah poet, to build a really
good wall...

one needs bricks and stones...

'cause y'know...sunshine will always
beat down the ice.

Been there, done that, have the glaciers and puddles to prove it...
Too bad, no matter how it's dealt with, either someone drowns or freezes...

Great write. I really love the images you portray. This is one of those poems that I look at and say, "Why couldn't I think of something like that!?"

You nailed it.  Course, for me, I employ a personal romulan cloaking device.  I shiver in the cold.

iliana,
Thanks,Sis.  If I only had a nickel for every time my wall melts and I have to block it up again!

passing shadows,
Yep.  I think ya do.  Glad you could relate.

sunshine,
You're right about that!  I remember a child's story about the Sun and North Wind having a battle to see who could influence a man to take off his coat first.  Naturally, you know who won!  Enjoyed your comment.

alyssa,
That ouches.  Hoping things go better...
Take care,

Allison,
Thanks for you sweet compliment.  You're probably better off not coming up with something like this.  (The field experience is costly.)

Susan,
So I nailed it?  Perhaps I should try carpentry!
The poetry just isn't coming these days.  Your cloaking device sounds rather interesting, BTW.

Strong walls melt
In sunshine of trust.

They do that, don't they? *S* Even when the trust isn't warranted. *S*

Excellent write!
