Finding My Place In This World

I have suspicions that
the woman I value, admire,
desire above all the others,
the one I want to be with,
doesn't share the same
feelings as me.

I made it clear that
I desire only her
but she hasn't made her
intentions clear to me.

My intentions are sincere
but now I find myself
wallowing in her insincerity.

I know what to do.
I'll tell her we're through,
that should put an end
to her passivity.

Then I'll laugh, cry
and scream because its not as
easy as it seems to let go
of the woman of your dreams.

No, it is far from easy.  Luckily, I believe there is not just one true love and sometimes "No" is the answer we are destined to hear as the "Yes" we are meant for is waiting just around the corner.  My heart to you--

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Thanks for the nice response Susan...at this point I'm mostly just writing down my feelings on this...but we did come to an understanding on some of the things mentioned here...as long as we keep talking things will be good...James

no James, it will not be easy, but before you let her go, perhaps you should face the unknown and give it possiblity, don't run, but stay and talk with her, give her a choice as well...b/c you never really know what another is thinking unless you ask...
Allow her happiness to, it is not a rejection, but simply allowing both of you the respect and maturity of choice...
in which case, if she does not feel the same way, then how is anything lost...to continue would be disasterous and a lie to both.

~ I do believe honesty is the best policy, so if you were to break off with her in the hope that that will end her passivity, then you would be acting in an insincere manner yourself. ~ and end all chance of winning her heart. Patience can have its rewards! ~ and knowing you as I do through your poetry, you have a very good chance of claiming her heart!
