If my eyes were blue,
I’d want them to behold the atmosphere
that surrounds our world...

I’d own the wolfen stare of our oneness, for life

If my skin was olive-hued,
I’d gather Carribean sun spears,
and tattoo your breath on mocha seams

All starless frigid nights, would burst
into beaded respire

If my hair was raven,
it would carry the fragrance of tears
and trail long into laurel wood dreams

The ribbons of ghost birch, would tie you to me

If my body was curvaceous,
I’d be free of thin-grained fears
My goddess would fill the air of supple

Your paint would rest, unused...unnecessary

And if I, could birth a celestial course
that would make life more than a predetermined shore
my genes would teem with vying traits

Yet, I remain
cat-eyed, paper white, red-wild,
somewhat...pre-Raphaelite
until ashes waste what glory I might taste...
what genesis I might feign in your fantasies

Your mate

a life-sized delineation, tenacious
as a snowflake in hades

"Low sit I down at my Lady's feet
Gazing through her wild eyes
Smiling to think how my love will fleet
When their starlike beauty dies."
Lizzy Siddal

Sy: I know...I get up with the worms. You are early eyes with eagle wings to me. Thank you

Sunnyone: You're so very good to me. What I offer seems meager toward your constancy. Just know that I grow from your acceptance.

K: Always admirable of other's own...thank  you dear lady.

Love,
Reg

From these opening words on...
you pen each stanza with perfection and beauty.
Thank you for sharing this lovely with us today Regina.

Your talent, your gift, it leaves me wide-eyed and breathless.  This was amazing.

btw, I've always loved red hair!  Married me a red head

Now you realize you could be all those things with contacts, make-up, hair dye, etc. but then at the end of the day, this is the part that would be missed most...

Nancy: Your poetic kindness always glows me. HugginStuff.

Susan: You inspire me. Thanks for appreciating another rousse, and for your especially kind reply.

Dixie: So are you sister...can't help but admire.

Jo: Thank you for reading, for being so encouraging, and for finding me real. Many thanks indeed.

Susan C: I love that word...thank you so much.

Mysteria: It's hard to resist the cosmetic thang...but I'm not good at any of it. I always end up looking like a drag queen. Hehe...well 50 lbs of brain juice tightens everything up! But I feel like a B-52 landing when I make it to class. Big thank you smiles.

Martie: A wonderful compliment, coming from you dear poetess.

Marge: I love your huglets. You're irresistible. Thank you

James: So very many...but it's so good to see you here. Thank you hugs.

Love,
Reg

So you...

Reg, you know how to put a smile on my face. I like everything about this. Until you're back again I'll enjoy this.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
