As I walk across this playing field,
Where abandon asphalt stays in chain
Refuses games that laughter yields,
Revealing the increase in apparent pain.
Asphalt hopes sag into trash filled sinks
And weeds define the growing cracks.
Not as smooth as the ties think
Or the locker never looking back.

Gloom

Ah, I can picture this -- a sense of abandonment and neglect.

A playing field not so easy to play on, I think.  Great descriptions. Enjoyed.   .....jo
