Drooping Shadows

My shadows droop in fond farewell
Each outflow shows less bond of dwell
Fading from a gray intense to
Lighter shades of stray dispense

They tweak my mind with weaker hues
Less green and much more rues of blues
So dark the holes, I cannot see
Debris becomes a mystery

I sweep the cobwebs of my thoughts
The catch of life and what it caught
But time has worn the facing dim
And through the lacing slips the whim

I patch the whole with fantasy
A plug or two of ecstasy
And argosy my ship of sleep
This fresh of tide, upon the neap

I see the curtains close embrace
And nose upon the reapers face

You crafted this well and I can feel the shadows drooping.  Much enjoyed.

"I see the curtains close embrace

Yes, indeed!

Something to ponder instead of being discouraged by droop.  *grin*

The message in your poetry is always carried comfortably by its delivery.  That is a high level skill which I admire.

Sy

You put so much thoughful into what you see, it makes me wish you would post one of your paintings.  Your words are paint of a different kind.

Oh, no you don't! Pip's Sigh Guy is not going to see the grim nose of that Reaper creeper! Not if this "angel" can help it!

Reaper be gone!
Ring out bird song!

Birdie chirps 'n kisses & lots of sunlight!
