~*~

Kick boxing is more than a sport
more concise without leaving a bruise,
so why does it hurt so bad.

Every time I took my turn I never made the moves
it was a fools game I couldn't win for losing,
each loss hitting below the belt.

Regardless of the fact, you meant more to me
but I still couldn't help myself,
so why should you care.

Our mistakes are our own, and ours alone to make
no matter how many ways we place the blame
and I always knew my chances were slim and none.

After one too many sucker punches
finally did me in
but in my own way, I'm glad it was you.

Like a dead ringer
I was sure to miss
and I do.

"Our mistakes are our own, and ours alone to make

Those two lines grabbed me as well...so very well said...

I always wondered why it is so many fill their time assuming the actions of others then passing judgement as if their thoughts were fact?

I couldn't have said it better!

It hurts all right, but it's nothing that time won't heal.  Thank you EaglesOne~

Snowflake~ It's not a good feeling, sorry about that!!  Thanks for reading.

I've been both....ringer, and dead. Each is pretty forlorn, if for different reasons....don't want to be either, ever again.

I like this very much, Bluesy one... there's the sadness of failure... but even sadder is never trying... for then we never live. *S*

Bluesy,

I know this write carries a lot within it
and your feelings are not foreign to me or
most of us.  I have been down that lonely
dusty road,  looking for a smile...

Eventually I found one,  and you will as
well...this I know!
