They're coming to take me away ha-ha! They're coming to take me away, Back to my crayons and coloring books, That's how I pass my days. With pills of light green and medium red, They match my crayons so well, Writing my poems in rainbow colors, With always a story to tell. I directed traffic once to often, Said the white coated guys in the van, "We're taking you from that intersection Back to the house for mental correction, The one we call "Happy Land" The people here are nuts for sure, I'm the only one that's fine, I play their game and act insane, Just laughing and doing my time. Over there in the corner Sit's Crazy LongJohn the sailor, Next to him picking his rear Is that poet named Balladeer We're really not that crazy yanno, In fact we're really just fine, Compared to other nuts you've known Like Lucie and Poet deVine. And then think of yourself Ya never quite know Ya gotta be nuts You're reading my poem... |
