A Tale of Eek!

They’ve sprung a leak
in the town of Eek
much to everyone’s dismay.
It’s been running now
about a week
yet it isn’t running away.

It’s filled a tub
made out of teak
fashioned by a Greek
from Spain.
His tub technique
was quite unique
especially the drain.

Would you believe
it’s an antique
because it’s very old.
The grain of wood
has a lovely streak
it’s something to behold.

Its angle’s oblique
adding to its mistique
it’s amazing how many gallons
can fill this teak
without growing weak
and could chill their ice-cold melons.

But since it’s Eek
of which I speak
they prob’ly haven’t any
for it’s a bit southeast of Nome
along the Bering Sea
so getting a melon home
would be no cup o’ tea.

So if you go to Eek
have a good physique
the weather’s awf’ly chilly.
Yep, no pipsqueak
could run a boutique;
why, it’d be downright silly.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
