Summer of Love
By: Noah Eaton
7/13/04

Summer of love,
summer of love,
summer of love,
summer of love.

I'm skipping to your candy store,
to see all that's new on display,
in my bellbottoms and Birkenstocks,
looking for a love joyride getaway,
there's not a cloud in the sky,
the temperature's rising,
the oceans are chanting,
a tropical fish opera...

The skies are dripping,
oranges and cream,
so let's stick out our tongues,
and lick this psychedlic lollipop.
The oceans are boiling,
hotter than the Sutro Baths,
surf's up, big Kahuna,
let's see how you manuever this Endless Summer!

Through every rock and roll heartbeat,
I'm dreaming of you, baby.
It's the Summer of Love,
don't you just love the love?
In your heart I feel the love,
I'm in love with the Summer of Love...

I couldn't imagine it could get any better than this,
until you ignited your sweet cherry torpedo kiss!
(Brushing our teeth with nothing but cinnamon tooth picks,
my lips are stained forever with your passion fruit lipstick.)

Partying around the bushfire,
partying like we're in heaven,
partying in this liquid comic book,
partying like it's 1967!

Through every rock and roll heartbeat,
I'm dreaming of you, baby.
It's the Summer of Love,
don't you just love the love?
In your heart I feel the love,
I'm in love with the Summer of Love...

(Electric gypsies are singing,
through Fender Twin Reverb,
the quintophonic Karma-Sutra,
amplifying the summer,
baby boomers and their babies,
stratocasting wild heaven,
Tonight's the first night in the rest of your life,
so c'mon, let's party like it's '67!

.
(Flex those lips, swedish fish!)
.
.
.
(This is only the beginning of this invisible circus!)
.
.
.
(Ooohhhhh, that wasn't even the sugar buzz!)
.
.
.
(I'm just getting warmed up!)
.
.
.
(I'll show you some real spanish castle magic!)
.
.
.
(Abba-ka-zaba, Nik-L-Nips!)

.
She's skipping to my candy store,
to see all that's new on display,
in a mini-skirt and flowers in her hair,
looking for a love joyride getaway.
Rainbows swarm with butterfly wings,
every time she breathes,
she croons wild honey and patchouli,
she's soooooooo cha-cha-charming!

Through every rock and roll heartbeat,
I'm dreaming of you, baby.
It's the Summer of Love,
don't you just love the love?
In your heart I feel the love,
I'm in love with the Summer of Love...

Tonight's the first night in the rest of your life,
so c'mon, let's party like it's heaven,
Tonight's the first night in the rest of your life,
so c'mon, let's party like it's '67!

I'm in love with the Summer of Love...
.
.
.
.
.
Summer of love,
(I'm in love with the Summer of Love!)
summer of love,
(I'm in love with the Summer of Love!)
summer of love,
(I'm in love with the Summer of Love!)
summer of love.
(I'm in love with the Summer of Love!)

Noah...this was extremely flowing and filled with elation...

The entire song was brilliant with glowing sunbeams of joy...but especially enjoyed this

Through every rock and roll heartbeat,
I'm dreaming of you, baby.
It's the Summer of Love,
don't you just love the love?
In your heart I feel the love,
I'm in love with the Summer of Love...

and that summer of love is there with us each and everyday, no matter how bitter cold or what season....

Bravo Bravo!

I was definately born in the wrong era..though the 80's have great music but I hear the summer of love was pretty freaky

I wish I was having a summer of love.

In my eyes, I'm not lazy.  In your eyes, I'm not worth it.

Noah ~

My goodness! I almost missed this multi-sherbeted, psychedelic, summer delight!

I was flying high ~ with your words! Your writes tantalize all the senses!

I still use fruit-flavoured lip glosses over my lipstick! Yummy, yummy! lol

Thanks for this summer fun!

Summertime hugs,
Linda

Now...you are writing and singin' about my era Noah my friend. The music, the clothing....everything was magical and whimsical. Sounds like someone has filled you in on all of this though. Great write!
