Half~risen

covering morning eyes
with daffodil waves

the yellow is sickening

rushing a motion of sea
to any stomach..

I watch it

peeling back wallpaper
                      ~  uncovering wallflowers

You're always there
in some background

fighting to become the scene

the uncovered spite
of setting conscious decisions to sleep

attempting hypnotic poison

parading certain colours

Your writing is a wonder dear gemma, and this is a brilliant illustration
of all things that lie beneath.  Truly, a fascinating read!!

Gemma, those lines are outstanding!!  How many times have I fought to be the scene?  And how many people have I watched do the same....I think to some degree we all want it..

nothing has better expressed your feelings on a certain bastard welshman than these right here. vulnerable and caustic at the same time. hands down, this is my favourite and possibly your best.
