Scales of Weight

This world is full of scales of weight
Of circumstance and of debate
Of lullabies and songs of rue
Of prophecy and what seems true

It’s full of light and shadows fall
Of things you do and don’t recall
Of fireflies and stars of bright
Of things you see and dreams of night

It’s full of moments put to weave
Tied in knots of mixed conceive
Some concerned and some confirmed
And some you feel you have not earned

With this tightrope we must cope
It either that or wave our hope
We’re nothing but a swoop of grime
Simmering in the soup of time

But if I be a table wine
I would champagne they label mine.

Table wine...

More like nectar, Sy...
with all the moths and butterflies
flitting around...

Comes each day from you, I think!

My friend... this is one of my favorites... in part because I know a visit with you is as delightful as the bubbly could ever be... but you leave fond memories instead of headaches. *S* I love this!
