A man told me a story once, it has always lingered in my mind. Perhaps one day I will put it to rhyme, until then... I share.

A man walking down the street saw a snake, it had been run over and lay hurt and dying in the gutter. He felt sorry for it and picked it up, carrying it home to nurse its wounds. He spent his time nurturing it and making it healthy again. When time had passed and the snake was again healthy and strong the man feeling love for the snake now reached down to pick it up and hold it. The snake suddenly sank his fangs into the mans hand causing pain. The man, not understanding the snakes reaction questioned it. "Why did you bite me?" "I nursed you back to health, made you whole and well again." "I offered you my love." "Why would you hurt me?"

The snake answered... "You knew I was a snake when you picked me up."

Remember me with a smile on your face, or please don't remember me at all.

I feel very sorry for that snake, he's never going to get it?

Smiles and hugs...good one, thank you for sharing.
