A Star Fell On Me

I know the night
he and I have become constant friends
counted stars with lack of nothing left to do
and maybe I have hung a wish on each of them
most that would or could never come true
but the night is still made for dreams
I have tried magic and no spell helped
and prayers went by silently unanswered
hope was something I only had to hold on to
tear salted it hung in darkness as a gift unshared
I sat alone wondering if the world would dig deep
and open up just a little to give me a chance
a heart too sensitive for this world –scarred
(and is that something I should apologize for)
for underneath the cuts is clearly strength
maybe I am selfish I just wanted something
for me
I finally gave up on hope went on with the night
then something incredible happened

a star fell on me

Too cool.  May your star always shine brightly --

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
