Our names are here,
unspeakable words of mystery.
Present from the start.
Called
through the divide of night and day
when one long arm spun the sun
and set the moon to sway.
We were gifted with one full day
to learn our lessons
forgive, forgive transgressions
and break the chain of karma’s bind.
One full day to find our rhyme.
We have names
we need to find
to float us
past the mirror's time.
The world tempts us
to this wanting stay.
But I hope we find our way
to a brighter shine,
where names are
echoes of celestial dust
propelled with life of forward thrust.
Tonight I leave behind
all stone and brass
and gaze the world
through looking glass.

I find this a well done vision of hope.  It is a nice contrast to some of yours I've thought were difficult to write.  It is a pleasure to read your work on an early Saturday.  KJ

This is an incredible way of putting the creation, love it.

The entire write speaks to me on a most deeply spiritual level.  We were, we are and we will be, this life is merely a stepping stone on our path.  Simply Beautiful jo.

I always enjoy the views through your looking glass!

May your looking glass continue to be spiritually correct ~ It is not necessary for it to be optically correct!

Thanks, JL -- glad you liked it!

LeeJ -- believe it or not, Lee.  This is what came the day after I had a dream about The Lord's Prayer.  In my dream, I was told the mystical meaning of the prayer, but I cannot remember it.  The poem really started in my mind being centered around the words "forgive transgressions" and the rest just came.  Now that's the rest of the story.....heheheh...jo

Hi Jo ... a wonderful write filled with hope. I just love the following lines:

Tonight I leave behind
all stone and brass
and gaze the world
through looking glass.

I wish I could look through this glass more often.
