"creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep"
I said it
low and long
lingering
upon the "e's"
experimental
on the tongue
he heard me
so his yelling
ceased
scratch of head
a-querying:
"What did you
just say to me?"
"creeeeeeeep"
I started giggling
creep-creep-creep
now like a frog
"CAAARRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEP!"
I croaked
through my guffaw
tears of laughter
glistening
rolling down
my apple cheeks
until I thought I'd die.

He stood there silent and confused,
not quite sure of what to do--
I had gone and broke the rules--
so he simply left the room.

I smiled and whispered:
"creep" again
wriggling my toes
relieved
"score one more for me"
(you creep!)
laughing louder
when he screamed
at the bedroom ceiling then:
"I toldja she was nuts!"

oh yeah?

"FREAKING Creep." I said

He slammed the door.

I guess I win.

Oh yes, this was great.  It is best, the use of the unexpected, most effective.

This touches on such truth of human interaction....a scene right out of the neighborhoods and homes of many.  The power of one word is pretty amazing...and...I applaud you for your courage!

Have you considered writing screenplays!

The images, dialogue, emotions projected... would literally leap out of the screen and into the solar plexus of each member of the enrapt audience! You write right real!

This is the PG version.

*snort*

I've been known to say many things in the heat of the moment, but actually, it's the milder cussing that confuses him.

It took him DAYS to figure out, "nanny-nanny-poo-poo!"

Thanks for sharing my warped humor today.

And EarthAngel/Linda, you get a hug for the screenplay bit. I'm working on working on it.

grin. The game is on. Today at the doc's office I was sitting there with him and the nurse called out:

"Mrs. Blaise?"

"For now." I answered pointedly.

and btw, it occurred to me that I might give credit for the title--

"score one more for me" is a line from a John Meyer song--entitled

"My Stupid Mouth".

Why is it I don't think the word you used was creep?  Now keep that up and get them to watch t.v. somewhere else too.  Way to go serene one.

serenity,
Would it be a bad pun if I said I found your story quite "riveting" (especially the frog part?). Now that I see that in print, I guess I've answered my own question.
Be well,
Doc
