Plunging into an eternal sea
Oblivion as old as the comrades of bones
Grey-haired and wise
Eye to eye, ear to ear…I love you most
I know your heart as streams flow flowers
Even better, your teardrops and where they go
Hear not my frustrated words…listen only to good
Discern my foolish childlike impatience
Allow if you will…mortal feelings

We were together before, hopelessly in love
Memories tattooed in the moon
Where beauty’s fire shall honor a poet’s heart
I only wish you wouldn’t take things so personal
We knew
Charms that no one feels, air no one knows
Your scent lingers upon a canopy of pillows
Where you walked before
There are no other things…but love
It is man kinds covenant with each other

You are to me, my amorous soul
But…we are so from two different worlds
We cannot be…I am merely your curtain call
The one with which the cold truth applauds
Freezing on my skin, going
Deep within the chamber of my heart

You are the deep tones of my flesh
The hush on silent starry nights
The angel which sings through each light
The unusual enchantment of adventure
True love in all it’s agony
The fear in the unknown
All stones which cut my soul
The laughter that moves me
Storms wailing mercilessly
Horizon’s on the sea
A bird with a homeless spirit
The joy in a child’s laugh
The excitement in a brand new morning
The enchantment in each rose
The white heart of perfume
Deep azure prose
Pools of passion

Dear Heart…let us go
Let us forgive
Let us pray to God our mortal flesh
Knows not the pain of long distress
We are lucky to be blessed
With mercy and a faithful roof over our heads

Dearest….I wish you the love of a woman’s heart
With eyes that dance in golden steel
As long sea grass floats sensible
A maiden fair to win your heart

LeeJ.,
This is one of the most beautiful poems I have read.  It flows so gently off the tongue with vivid imagery and tender thoughts.  This is my favorite of yours to date.  You keep getting better and better!  Thank you for this beauty.

I am simply speechless. Still caught in the imagery and the wonderfull expression of the entire poem. Very well done. Was a pleasure to read and savor the words.

Beautiful is an understatement most definately...I feel a bit choked up...

LeeJ

To forgive and love in the same breath is a great gift...and your gift goes beyond that, into words with the tremendous power of sincerity.  Wonderful writing!

If only all good-byes could be this way.
Beautifully penned as always Lee.
