Etched in the illusion of time

0 posted 2004-07-08 09:16 AM

Mmm.
It was your colors that caught me amiss.
like oil&water
sand&stone
opposite reciprocals of the winter sky.
            black&white

my hunger for art was your reason,
spur to change shades
one lighter; darker -      next time.

asphalt hearts were DaVinci to barefeet.
walking gravel dirt broken bits of glass[into]heelsand toes

only in the name of novelty, it were true
and heaven and earth
          sang.
Oh,
I gave you such a rush. Sugarcane.

Mmm.

Hate you for being so selfish with that beauty,
give some, on fingerpalms
yes on the sticky sweat of our

                            tongues.

[since when have you envied me?]

ad infinitum? That's really all?
i don't believe you, i'll have you know.

Oh
  it's nothing that won't tip betrayal  &intrusion.

             Mmmm.
I must have those eyes
with which you see my bruises
the kind beneath my skin, invisible
to the naked perceiver.

I didn't tell you how I love your hands
tracing the back of my hipbone.
                     Center of
everywhere

When you got me trapped 'tween delicance
and decadently deemed desire -
             well

Mmm.
{you know.}

If I were to touch you, would you bleed a velvet river, running miracles through the sodden ground? --Moi

Geez....
pour some of that ink
from your pen
into mine...

This entire piece read with a sensual flow.  I like the feel of it, very intimate.  I especially liked the passage above.

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
