Reflective Highs – a Sea Sigh for JM

I crawled up, deep from the floors of the ocean,
Past vast legends grandly profound,
From cosmic blue views of Pacific hues.
Then built tall my reserves
Which swift carried me, the sea…

First up steep climes, then down
From the Rockies,
A simple rumble stumbling in motion;
But still I held
The salt sense of God’s ocean…

My entrance into Kansas
Viewed by one poet’s clear eye,
And the poetess sung with meadowlarks
Of my great build and grand highs…

She grew me ever upward, with
The sound of her lone song,
In proud height I then trembled,
And fear to just love
Hurried me along…

I thundered into Missouri,
Laid down the lines of one man’s cross,
Covered the home
of old Sam’s own thoughts,
But I left behind the one
Who lifted me aloft,
I would go round back,
But the winds have pushed me
This way, away from her,

And I couldn’t hold back,
And overhead, grew black,

I rained upon a moth,
Who had little to say…

But she had her eye, and captured my tears,
Caught up my rage, her lines swept past my fears,
She saw that I cried,
Saw that I died, as
My spent found the drain, knowing
I’ll rush home, roundabout,
Once again,

And with a flushed wing,
Sung to me clear, that
Both felt the surge,
Both felt the tears,
And both sang to
The salt of my seas….

So please,

When you see the moth
Flitting around with the sun…
Remember that they
Entwine arms, one by one,
By the sea, by the sea
They both remember now,
And somehow revere me.

Karilea~  This is gorgeous, to and from two lovely ladies.

There is much beauty here, and each and every word is so plain to see and feel.

There goes the waterworks!!
Oh me!!

thank you for this Kari--
tis a lovely reminder of all the beauty that is quietly around us, which for now has become my camera's muse...and since my pen has indeed had little to say...I am delighted and grateful that you find inspiration and put words next to the images.

TY

oh boy, words cannot express the powerful beauty in all of this...extremely profound.

Many thanks to both of you for sharing.
