Life spins me around, pigmying 1st impressions
Bribing Bible translations, pretending to think
My trailing dress of Victorian silhouette, antiques daily necessity
Humble gurus stammer over every sentence
Mastering secondary nature as my mind’s eye
Entering the great scheme of positive objectives
Being the daughter of a depression child
I dread the cold standing in the unemployment line

Holy Silence is far from contradiction
It is floods of powers arcane, the gold-makers
Hope plays hide and seek among the crowds
Grabs me by both arms and kisses me long and hard
Right then I know what I must do
While the sidewalks sing in a chorus line
Melting all my silver down, into grab bags
I recognized what the salt of the earth is
It is not artificially inseminated, but more sensibly real
Wicked will, forestanding enormous critique
With a fashion all of it’s own, not trendy but
Gaining great popularity

There is a suppression of academic improvement
The corners of my mouth dry and chafe
While I hold tight to that strange and wondrous tale
Myth or magic blown to the winds of prophecy
Like a garden globe
I don’t know about you, but I’m going to put
Some liquid plumber down my drains
Preventative maintenance you know,
In hopes by noon, the Swami will come to lunch
He simply knows the right times
And never stays over his welcome
Molding a globe pious and meek, folding forgiveness
His Tabernacle, my failures…becoming true believers

I’ve decided to hitherto the nursing mother
Full udder of well-meaning
He disagrees but nods and allows
So I move my rook, coup de grace
I lose but don’t mind a bit
And donate all my organs
I hope the pioneer in me doesn’t come up short
I know how to live off the land
How to fish and hunt
What I don’t know is, how long eternal damnations lasts?
And if, this world will be better for the next generation
All I can do is try to tidy up morning breakfast dishes
Write some music, indulging in hypothetical questions
Planting ancestral wars, as I’m a believer in spiritual appearance
And growth
It’s not the words at play, it’s more so, in the way they move
I have a date with the old parks of the world
It’s a warm summer night, but I’d better take a wrap
Cause you never know what internal conditions
Might come up which are the effects and causes
Of all decisions.

It's always a good idea to be prepared.  You're a very smart lady, I think...I wish you well, but I think you'll be fine anyway.  A great poem!

Very well stated Lee.  Hugs.
