chirpy cuddlers bounce
tweeting from
their sheltered nests
beseeching the shaken air
and nervously prodding
the shadow’s root

slowly, the clouds yield and shift
spreading their sprawling wings
and in their movement shed
droplets of tears

taking hint, the sun streaks through
to illuminate shiny dribbles

~

it is all-purifying
when the seven-coloured spirit
makes her appearance
dressed in garbs of a rainbow
as she stretches her arms
to embrace the crying

it is the scene of
the monkey’s wedding
and everybody is invited
to join the dance

Thanks, my serene friend for letting this mind explore the pristine prismatic dance of rain and sunshine...

Vivid! Very nicely designed. Love the idea of the 7 colored spirit embracing the crying to reveal then a lovely rainbow.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

You...

I hope you feel me smiling--

you truly captured the essence of the wonder I feel every time this happens.

You're my new favorite poet!

"it is all-purifying
when the seven-coloured spirit
makes her appearance
dressed in garbs of a rainbow
as she stretches her arms
to embrace the crying"

Thank you so much for this kind friend.

I hope you don't mind but I left a link for this for my sister, and she did indeed say that after reading this, she finally understood why I would issue such a "weird" challenge.

You are wonderful, sudhir! Thanks again.
