The Welcome Sign

Some times, things are hidden
behind all of the welcome mats,
the things we think we need to put up
other than our own smile
to bring you
hither.

But I would wish you,
well come,
my friends, and poets, for, my friends,
here is where the birds will sing,
bells will ring,
coffee will pour,
laughter will roar…

tea will be spilled…

and wills will be willed…

here is the Welcome sign.

But the way it is placed?

Perhaps you need to understand
a bit of a lesson
for no matter how it is hid,
all you need to know, is,

how to read sun signs.

You definitely have a unique style of writing.

We see much, observe little, and perceive less.

Oh I do love this and you know it!!
Now if we can only sit on that bench under the willow please?
If so...I'm on my way!
Looks so inviting..so many unique things to look at and ponder.

Sign me up. I could use a bit of that right now, because at this moment I don't even feel welcome inside my own skin. A welcoming and a place among caring friends sounds like ecstasy.

The summer shadows are gone now...
fog is morning's wake up blanket,
gray mist shrouding the coming of jewel colors
to trees of all shapes, and sizes...

summer's spent,
winter winds it way in...

I thank you all for reading me throughout the seasons, and for making Passions a home for so many poetic hearts.

Love, K
