The clouds built
from steel blue
threatening dark and low,
then billowed
over hay tanned field
as rising smoke and promises
finished in wisps, miles above.
The wind below
roused heavy air to breeze,
stirring the heat
from your occasional flame
and the need to burn
in you again.

This is a very passionate poem. I could feel the flame.

~*~

yet...
the green did not die,
the life, still there;
it hid from the black
as if with
no care;
the clouds dispersed,
yet the rains did fall...
and I found that I
loved you
...
...
...
most of all.
Yet you went back,
again, and again,
and cottonwood promises
hid
in the glen.

~*~

I say, do not,
repeat, do not...
inspire me like that again.

~*~

Nah...
go ahead.

I dare you.

The wind below
roused heavy air to breeze,

I love where this is going, it's like an endless feeling,
even after the flame dies out.

Nice one Dunc~
