quickened life
within the shell
fire in the hole
as wept
in fables and mythologies
consistant themes of Hell
are screened
beneath the lids of eyes asleep

A Dream

no

(too much certainty)

A Dream, he nods.

I dream?

(You dream...)

"Wake me when it's over then--"

NO.  I'm screaming as he nods

"Don't wait--just wake me now."
I sobbed.

"I sleep"
as he began to rot.

Right before my very eyes

a decomposing Sigmund Freud,

"Take a left at Jung."

He died.

I woke?

"you dream..."

He laughed at me

(I missed a bus on 2nd st...)

I woke and wrote this poem.

(I hope.)

Amazing.

In my eyes, I'm not lazy.  In your eyes, I'm not worth it.

If I was truly a poet...I'd of written that lullaby by now...........

I would love to live as a river flows, carried by the surprise of its own unfolding.

LOL, oh, the images I got from this one...
of a decomposing Freud, and making a Jungian left turn.

*chuckles to Balladeer*

And thanks to all for reading my weirdness, and no, this one isn't another true serenity story--I was simply doing an exercize trying to capture the essence of one of those bizarre dreams, and I attempted to layer in interpretation and the infamous conflict of Freud and Jung.

Weirdo me.

Thanks again with my love to all!
