Thereupon Thy Kiss

Thereupon thy kiss let my ardor sweep,
'Til buoyant affection meets horizon,
For it's thither in the terrene of sleep,
Our affaire d'amour we'll build upon.

Evensong whispers of jasmine blossoms,
Yea waft within this clandestine place,
And we will weigh anchor 'til time succumbs-
-To the fervency which we would embrace.

I’ll chisel, “I love you,” from stony tongue,
As the mainsail snaps fore the northern gale,
And sing the songs that have remained unsung,
Aye through the tempest our need would prevail.

Phorcys keep thy Sirens for lesser swains,
For ‘tis only she who can stir these veins.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!
