For There’s Naught

To scribe my name on the arch that I suit,
Would be ever so sweet if but I could,
Yet impermanent ink need doth refute—
—Disclosure can’t be but misunderstood.

Transient are not these feelings I hold,
But to Davey Jones I must consign them,
For thy beauty is not mine to behold,
And our love the world would ever condemn.

Into the maelstrom let whorl endearment,
Speak not of what must remain uncompelled,
Yea happiness is but a chance event,
And the coincidental must be quelled.

Alas I’ll never know a love like this—
—For there’s naught but heartache in this abyss.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

~~~~~
then let me be
the light you seek
my heart, my love
upon your palms
receive the truth
press to your chest
night's whispers
lilac blooms on a
cardinal's breath
Oh! nest within this
secret place and together
i promise
   engraved i love yous
from tongue to finger_tip
no flesh unmarked
no soul ... alone
a morning blush we'll cast
the sun and curl together
breast to chest ... until the
moon lays claim to dreams
and we
begin to scribe
        our needs again
Oh my Snow...now I have another piece of your work to play with. LOL! Thank-you for this wonderful post. I just love your work...and to know that this was written for me...inspired by my inspiration from you. Mmm! Now did that make sense? (Snicker!) Anyway I think a little later I will play with thisw too...but for now I must lay down for an hour or two. Need my beauty sleep. 8-) Talk to you later dear friend. Love - Kevin.
Oh, this is sad -- but eloquently written, Kevin.   ......jo
And, Snow -- that was beautifully penned.
A sobering thought... Enjoyed your poetry.  You write so smoothly.
I'd love to read a duet by you and Snow!
That would be a collaboration celebre!
Oh, such words with a tinge of a master's
voice seasoning the soup of one's muse.
Well done....
