What will it take
to say that’s enough
When light in the pocket
or the "Patriot’s" cuff

Eating or shivering
seems evil a choice
Wasting the words
of our vanishing voice

Blaming our brothers
who lean left or right
The evil escapes
by external incite

Lamb to the lions
for pretenses sake
Out walk the others
with billions to bake

Boat to the beaches
to brag and to boast
The other’s new staple
is soggy old toast

Manipulate media
shaping the slut
Feeding the frenzy
sleepy eyes shut

Rewriting reports
the science of lies
Drowning our deaths
in mountainous cries

Brokering borders
training the scabs
Globalization
means all they can grab

Managing maintenance
to make them look good
We pay through the nose
when dark in the hood

Gaunt in his glory
from podium sings
Touting the grace
of more needful things

Delusions be damned
before we go bust
These men we call leaders
deserve not our trust

Mr. Alley Cat -- Well, you said it all -- this follows up well to the poem posted by Simply Gold, so I'm sending it back up!  Happy Independence Day.

'tis sad, isn't it.  Oh for the sense of righteousness once again, where one's word meant something and honesty and integrety were not just words in the dictionary.

Excellent read.

Thank you all for the nice comments to my rant. It is a bit out of date, I wrote it after the blackout last year. Soon after dubya fired the head of the EPA, and rewrote the report on global warming. Back when Rummy was hawking "useable nukes".

Oops...
Sorry
Sure you can post a link, have it blown up,
put it on a poster, or even edit spelling mistakes

That goes for any of my stuff. Just let me know what and give credit. A link would be helpful as well.

You must admit ole Rummy make a perfect Mr. Gaunt
