Guns at school
I can't take it anymore.
Our ancestors will rise up like zombies to even the score
Tiffs that we had are now turned to wars
My children in school I worry with gloom
I'm afraid to let them play of go the store.
Aspiring school teachers are stopped dead in thier tracks.
children are shot thier blood rolls on the floor only to be mopped right out the door.
We need to stop these attacks
Simpathy for criminals I can not endure
Send them out the DOOR
We need to even this score.....

My mother is a middle school teacher
and a student brought a 9mm gun to school
with a bullet in the chamber.
I wish she would retire.
I don't know the answer other than you would think that somewhere there would be responsible adults.
when you own a gun you should know where it is
and teach children that its not a toy and keep locks on them.enough said here
I guess i was just venting.

Venting is good. And I agree it is scary out there! I know your mom is a teacher but I would seriously consider home schooling if I had school age kids today.

It's a scary world, school is a scary place these days!!  We abolished guns in Australia and it truly has helped.. perhaps the us should really consider it, instead of trashing the idea as they have.
Also there is a bit about how you raise your kids, Dylan is 5 now, never had a toy gun and never will!!  I did relent and let him have a toy sword for he loves Xena and Hercules so much!!  The education should be from day one weapons are bad, not allowed in surburbia at all.  And kids should fear them not look on them as toys or answers to their problems.
Great poem, I wish your Mom would retire too!!!

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

I would just like to say, I am homeschooled, and I am glad of it too....
And I think that guns shouldn't be totally abolished, like everything else they have their place (But they CERTAINLY don't belong in the hands of children....or even some adults for that matter!) Let us not forget the second ammendment: "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed." I think some people are forgetting the constitution...And I think we shouldn't completely abolish guns, but rather educate, and as the ammendment says, "well regulated".

"Suicides have already betrayed the body.
Still born, they don't always die,
bu dazzled, they can't forget a drug so sweet
that even children would look on and smile."

ah yes, violence.  it only begets violence.  i hope that someone read this and decided to lock their gun away, or do something about it with their own child.

And on the other hand???
yes I'm one of those.
I've had guns all my life, They have done terrible things wars, etc.
But we are able to talk like this only because a gun so to speak did bark a few times, We are a free nation because of a gun, we didn't talk our way out, we shot our way out, I've always know where my gun were at all times, knowing the perchance in the
world and Murphys laws. not to go into all the protections I've put on my guns but to let you know that not all of America has there heads up there back sides. I don't want to raise a big thing here, Also just to let you know if I hadn't had a gun I'd never
be here. That's all from me.
I guess kid your not the only one that needs venting. hahaha keep your head down kid.
Joel.

In high school I had a friend that was shot in the head right in front of me it was at a football game.  I was so scared i quit school and i started caring a gun and I know i feel safer with it. (i keep it locked on the side of me all the time and in the state i live its legal to carry a concealed weapon)  I wish i didnt have to carry one but its the sad truth that in the world today its kill are be killed. I hope for my godson a neice that the world would change but I know thats not likely. Now all we can do it teach out kids that guns are only used for protection or hunting animals.
