blue
transparent
yellow
dancing like a concubine

lovely...

midriff bared
swirling
heat drifting around
and around her,
a scarf of fragrance
enhancing her grace.

gold chimes crackling...
oh, let her catch!

A splendid double entendre. I don't have much to say, other than I loved it and I believe I *know* exactly what the speaker means.

Well, I just have to say this: it's not about coins. This woman dances for coins no more than a candle flame would.

Thank you gothicmoth. All I wanted was to portray beauty for beauty's sake. I hope that came across.

I love to watch flames dance in a fire, it is a pity we now have an electrical fire, still there is something beautiful and deadly about fire.

a wonderful poem. Hot.

"I've been too honest with myself I should have lied like everybody else"-Richey Edwards

"Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints. Kill nothing but time".

Baltimore Grotto

"Libraries gave us power
Then work came and made us free
What price now for a shallow piece of dignity"
Nicky Wire, A design for Life.

manic street preachers
"Rock 'n' roll is our epiphany
Culture, alienation, boredom and despair"

"To be nobody-but-yourself-in a world which is doing its best night and day, to make you everybody else - means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting."

E.E Cummings.

~I too find beauty in this.  You have depicted it with much poetic talent.  Thank you for sharing. Take care. *Peace.

Ah the dance of coins. the dance of the heart, the dance of the soul.

In all it's beauty.

love the feel kid.

Joel.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.
