Here stands before us, the vista that is our future!
No more hunger, and no more war.
All of humanity will unite under one flag.

We shall harness the power of God to make you

immortal!

No longer will we need to serve a God,
For we shall be

God!

Together as God we will rise up,
And defeat the challenges Nature puts up against us!
Together we will defeat religion and art and ..and

..........

And...

..

.

.

We will fall together.
We will all go in the same direction,
We will all end at the same time,

Together as God.

This is, I believe, an astute portrayal of what awaits us...humanity will doom itself.
Very insightful.  Good writing.  I look forward to reading more.

And..so many other things await to be destroyed.  I hope it never comes to this.
Good piece.

just another possible future in a sea of infinite possibility

there is always hope

"Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil!- prophet still, if bird or devil!-
Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted-
On this home by horror haunted- tell me truly, I implore-
Is there- is there balm in Gilead?- tell me- tell me, I implore!"
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
