THE ROSE:

Like a rose-bud opens: bit by bit
Slowly, wondrously drawn
So my heart is tentative.  Revealing it
Painfully faces dawn

A deep rich red people stop to see
A heavenly loving heart
This pleasure to behold: the rose or me?
Either way growth starts

Where does it come from?  People ask
This heavenly living scent?
The me in the rose in me behind glass
From a broken stem sent.

Good poem though I think you need to delve deeper in the explanation of this poem but otherwise good poem

It's hard to know when to open yourself to someone isn't it?  We don't want to show too much in case we get hurt. . .

Wonderful poem. . .

The only part about this I didn't understand was the part about the glass, but revealing oneself I truly understand, that's why every rose needs a thorn of protection, I think.
