MEMORIES' SHORE:

A far away place on memories's shore
A light, in the distance of time
Comes one to me, as many before
With a heart on a platter: for mine

Rejoicing, light-hearted steps
Towards another downward jail
Faces of old the ocean reflects
Mournfully gone with a whale's tail

  Sands as memories, time, energy
  Quickly come, many, gone

Bejewelled, sparkling, passionate shell
Too much as always, I know
From the heights of love to rejection's hell
And I watch another one go.

Sylvia.

A familiar place for me too Sylvia...

I hope that you and I both leave our "faces of old" very soon!!

I am finding so many people that I can identify with on this site.

Here's wishing a big loving heart for all who seek one...

Beautiful poem...
