Dear Blood lust,
     I've come to a revelation.
The fact that it’s taken this long, causes some irratation.
You posed as my friend, almost my lover
You were able to maipulate me like no other.
This supreme verdict which I’ve reached
Is a conclusion that cannot be breached…..
Blood lust,I don’t want to see you again
I wish never to feel your presence in my abode as kin,
But as foe ,aye, I’ll be rid of you yet
I’ll cease to feel your uncontrolable control,I’ll forget we’d ever met.
Never again a passion to see my blood flow,
Never again allowed to feel that low.
Farewell,my nemsis Blood lust
I’ll scrape you off my armor like rust.
Goodbye,may we never meet again.

And there she weaves by night and day,
a magic web of colours gay.~Tennyson

Phew! I'm glad I'm not this guy! 'Sounds like you're well rid of him.

I liked this line a lot:

'But as foe ,aye, I’ll be rid of you yet'

'Could have been Rabbie Burns or Braveheart (William Wallace) speaking! As a Scotsman myself that tickled me...   (Have you got some Scottish blood in you perchance?)

Powerfull stuff Swåmpy!

Lover is a leech? an interesting poem, really enjoyed it.

Never again a passion to see my blood flow,
Never again allowed to feel that low.
Farewell,my nemsis Blood lust
I’ll scrape you off my armor like rust.

Swampie,

Please forgive me if I have this all wrong, but when I read this poem (and I loved it by the way!!), I got this picture of someone saying goodbye to their period!  I never saw a guy in it at all.  Is that single minded, or what?  Hope I haven't offended.  I just had to share my demented imaginings with someone.

LOL!!!!! no no no HAHAA!!!!!! LOL...no Jana,i'm not old enuf to say goodbye to that......unfortunately...LOL...haha this is a very.....er.....interesting interpertation though..HAHA!!
I'm rather masochistic.....cuts,burns...and this poem is kind of a feeble attempt to say goodbye to that,to leave it behind. I'm not going to allow myself to do that anymore. hence the line "Never again a passion to see my blood flow,
Never again allowed to feel that low."

=P i wonder if anyone else thought i was talking about menopause??¿ LOL!! haha

I'm glad you weren't offended (I guess I've revealed the stage of life that I'm at right now!!).  Thanks for answering and for being such a good sport.  I was soooo hesitant about asking, but my curiosity always gets the better of me!

And here I thought it was a lust of wanting to run down the street with a blade. hahaha
I guess we all have our own blood lust.

Thanks kid an interesting read. hahaha

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.
