The feeling rushes over me like the blood from an open wound.
An excruciating pain evelops the remnants of my heart,
The rest deadened by the selfish soul
When life was still beautiful.
A time long ago that remains only as a memory
Now paper thin.
Love continued to be a desire then and not a fear.
Life was still beautiful before you made your way into my heart,
Allowing yourself to devour the tender pieces of flesh
That make me who I am,
Or what I was.
When life was still beautiful.
