In Better Times Sometimes it's better to let something go And maybe it's our time to part But if our love is meant to be You'lll know it in your heart. I never meant to hurt you Though I have in many ways I only meant to love you And make you smile everyday. We've both suffered our losses We know how life is tough I've given all I think I can I guess it's not enough I guess WE're not fulfilling To me WE were just fine Maybe our love is faltering But won't in better times. Have you noticed how they sparkle? My eyes do when you're around. Did you notice how I smile? How my feet lift off the ground? Do I really make no difference? Are my efforts done in vain? Should we just take a long break now? And end at the start again? We've both suffered our losses We know how life is tough I've given all I think I can I guess it's not enough I love you more than ever Which will be my heart's demise I think our love is faltering But won't in better times. I know that I'm not perfect There are flaws in my life too I wish that I could change them So that they would not harm you Your sarcasm hides your feelings Where mine show through the cracks I wish that I know how to just Put our love back on track We've both suffered our losses We know how life is tough I've given all I think I can I guess it's not enough There's no use in feeling sorry For I cannot change your mind I know our love is faltering But it won't in better times. ~* Megs *~ I was never one to patiently pick up broken fragments and glue them together again and tell myself that the mended whole was as good as new.
